DIVORCE SUPPORT

Divorce is more than just a legal process; it is a major life transition. While mediation focuses on reaching a fair settlement between two parties, Divorce Support Coaching focuses on supporting you individually.

At Koda Mediation, we offer specialised divorce support coaching to help you rebuild your life after divorce, manage the “business of divorce” and the challenges of co-parenting, all while protecting your emotional and psychological well-being.

Why Work With A Divorce Coach?

Aside from the fact that divorce is one of the most stressful life events a person can go through. The legal system isn’t designed to handle the emotional fallout or the day-to-day challenges of ending a marriage. A divorce support coach acts as your advocate and strategist to help you:

  • Lower the Conflict: Learn communication tools to de-escalate tension with your spouse.
  • Make Smarter Decisions: Move from emotional reactivity to logical, long-term thinking.
  • Save Time & Money: Be better prepared for your legal or mediation sessions, reducing billable hours and delays.
  • Parent with Purpose: Develop a co-parenting strategy that keeps your children’s best interests at the centre.
  • Post Divorce Rebuilding: A multi-step process dedicated to personal rediscovery, financial restructuring, and emotional recovery.

Our Divorce Support Coaching Consists of:

Pre-Mediation/Litigation Readiness

Feeling overwhelmed or intimidated by the upcoming litigation or mediation process?

We help you organise your thoughts, clarify your needs, and work with you to develop “low-conflict” communication techniques to handle difficult interactions, so you walk into the courtroom or mediation session feeling confident and calm.

Conflict Coaching

High-conflict situations are emotionally exhausting. We provide a safe, non-judgmental space to help you untangle your emotions from the facts.

We also provide you with the tools you need to handle conflict in a more confident and constructive way.

Post-Divorce Rebuilding

The final decree of divorce is just the beginning of a new chapter. We provide support for navigating your new “normal.”

  • Designing your next chapter.
  • Regaining your emotional autonomy.
  • Rebuilding your self-esteem.
  • Establishing healthy boundaries as a single parent.

Our Ethical Commitment

To maintain the integrity of the mediation process, we adhere to strict ethical guidelines:

  • If we act as your mediator, we remain a neutral third party for both you and your spouse. We cannot act as an individual divorce coach for either party in that specific case.
  • If we act as your divorce support coach, we are your dedicated ally. In this role, we cannot act as the mediator for your divorce, but we can help you prepare to work effectively with an outside mediator or legal team.

Take the Next Step

Whether you are in the early shock of separation, where everything still feels unreal, or deep in legal proceedings, feeling exhausted emotionally and mentally, trying to hold it all together, or even if you’re on the other side of divorce, feeling flat, disconnected and unsure of who you are now, divorce support coaching provides you with the support and clarity you need to move forward.
